What's the difference between stone cleaning and repointing?
Stone cleaning removes dirt, staining or growth from the surface of the stone. Repointing replaces the mortar between the stones, often needed on older buildings where the original pointing has worn or been repaired with unsuitable materials. We assess which your property needs, or whether both are required, during a site visit.
Can you match new stone to an existing sandstone building?
In most cases, yes. We source stone to match the colour, texture and age of the existing building where possible, and can advise on realistic options during your quote.
